5 stars! I bring both of my vehicles here and can't rave enough about their honesty and friendly staff. It's hard to find a good Ford diesel shop, this is the place! Thx Mark and staff for always taking care of me.

I was told my transmission needed replaced $4K+ I took it to Scotts Valley transmission for a second opinion. They found no problem with the transmission, the problem was in the ignition system, this saved me $$$$.00. My truck now runs great.

Outstanding integrity and customer service! Took in my ancient Previa (1995, 325K miles) because I felt a new vibration, suspected tranny. They quickly checked it out: test drove it, checked fluids, put it on the rack, etc and decided I had a brake issue but the vibration was a mount or isolator ... which they don't do on my car because they would be inefficient since they don't work a lot on Previas. So, they declined to charge me anything for the diagnostic! BTW, a few years ago we had these folks put a tranny cooler on our horse-towing pickup, and it's been doing fine.

Passing though Scotts Valley, I thought I was having a transmission issue with my 2001 Ford Excursion. They ran diagnostics and said the transmission is fine and that I actually had a fuel leak. They got that fixed, serviced the transmission, and performed a couple of other engine repairs as well. They had diagnosed some other issues, but I was not in a position to get those done. They gave me the full print-outs for when I would be able to get it into another shop.

Honest, straight-forward, on time, quality work.

Symptom was failure to engage in drive, especially on cold mornings or when sitting a couple of days. Shop found transmission fluid was 45% low. No external leak was found. Internal valves were found loose one turn on inspection and corrected. Reported transmission fluid was a little dirty too, so I had it replaced. Problem fixed. Runs great again! Symptoms, diagnosis and work done was typed and well documented. Very satisfied. Lesson learned: Check transmission fluid level when the car is warm, not when cold as for motor oil.

I have been taking all my vehicles to Scott's Valley Transmission for over a decade and have nothing but positive comments for the work they do, the way they treat their customers and the fair pricing they offer, and the extra effort they expend to get emergency repairs scheduled and completed quickly. I have had many major services done during this time including a 2002 Ford F350 Powerstroke Transmission Rebuild/Upgrade, turbo pedestal and downpipe repairs, and head gasket/injector cup replacement, a 2012 Ford Edge front differential replacement, and various axles rebuilt for a 1997 Jeep TJ as well as a 1972 Corvette rear differential rebuild. All of them have worked flawlessly to date. Wouldn't take my major services anywhere else...
